I have been using Novitil gel, dermabest website, for a while now and it seems to be working the best on the most recently depigmented spots. However, it is very time consuming since it has to be applied twice a day ..... and for someone who has vitiligo all over the body, it can take a really long time!
But before purchasing this gel, I did a lot of research on the other websites with treatments and 'cures' and this is what I found out ...........
I emailed some of the websites I came across and asked them a few questions, such as,  how long will the treatment take, is it really all herbal (as some claim to be), are there any side-effects, are the results really permanent (as most claim to be), what does the medicine consist of, etc.


Vitiligo Tab:
At first, they completely ignored all my other questions and said that "the active ingredient of Vitiligo Tab is oil of psoralea corylifolia." Psoralea corylifolia is babchi.

After my persistence, they finally replied to some of my questions and said: "No, we do not guarantee permanancy of results, but the number of instances of de-pigmentation are very rare."

However, this is the claim they make on their website:
“Vitiligo Tab is our 100% guaranteed and clinically proven permanent cure for Vitiligo.”

Here, they are 100% guaranteeing a “permanent” cure for vitiligo. That’s when I started questioning their claims and decided not to try this treatment.

Leucotin:
At the time when I started researching leucotin, I was in London. I realized that it seems to be a UK based company, in London. I asked them if I can make an appointment to come over to their office, this was their answer:
“We are sorry, we are an online only company and our offices are not open to the public.”

Then I asked them to give me their phone number so I can call them and discuss the treatment. And they replied:
“We are sorry we do not take telephone queries. Please email us and we will get back to you within one working day.”

So, then I asked them all my usual questions through email. Again, at first, they tried to avoid giving me a straight answer to my questions:

“Please refer to the clinical trial summary available on the site for details on our efficacy rates.”

They don’t even have a clinical trail summary on the site. After my persistence, this is the reply I got:

“Please refer to the site for our no questions asked refund policy. We do not however guarantee the permanency of results. Having said this, the re-depigmentation rate is very small.”

Website says:
“Welcome to the official website of Leucotin: The amazing 100% guaranteed treatment for Vitiligo that is bound to leave you amazed!” ……….
“Leucotin is a natural medicine formulated specifically to cure Vitiligo on a  permanent basis. Leucotin comes in an easy to take form and is consumed orally through the mouth.”

Again, 100% guaranteed ….. cure vitiligo on a permanent basis!

Leucocare:
Their website has been temporarily unavailable for a while now …. wonder why!?

The same problems …. the reply to my questions:
“Results are permanent on more than 95% of cases. Complete repigmentation depends on your rate of response.”

I cant view the website right now, since its unavailable, but it makes the same claims: permanent cure, etc.

Vitiligo Herb:
I tried contacting these people three times, but never had any reply. They also claim to be 100% permanent cure… The information on vitiligo herb and vitiligo tab websites are exactly the same … word to word …. Also, the questions and answers section of the vitiligo herb website has been taken from the NIAMS website.  


These are some of the websites I will never trust. I think anything offering a ‘permanent cure’ is a scam.

However, some of the other websites, such as anti-vitiligo oil, treat vitiligo, neem vitiligo treatment, seem to be a little more convincing.

Treat vitiligo does not claim to be a permanent cure and even mentions in its website that: “the treatment may be prolonged, and the results may not be predictable in some cases (rare).” I am tempted to try this myself after my Novitil supply finishes … but have to research a bit more first.

I think anti-vitiligo oil is probably babchi oil. It seems okay but I did not use it because they said its better if I don’t do any other treatment while using the oil. And since I am already using babchi, I thought its better if I don’t try this at the moment. Also, this oil treats the condition only from the outside and I want to treat it from the inside.

Neem also seems to be good. But again, I need to investigate further ….. I have already mentioned on another post that my uncle used the inner bark of neem tree and fig tree roots to treat his vitiligo, so there must be something …..

dear michelle og, how did you hear about novotil oil and where can i buy it. grace. also  how can i find out more about antivitiligo oil. have you heard anything about it.
