My doctor prescribed six weeks of straight clobetasol ointment twice a day, then clobetasol twice a day for two days and dovonex cream for the other 5.  I've been doing the second routine for about 8 months now.  I've started getting red bruises on my arms where I put the medications.  I know that can be a side effect of clobetasol, but I haven't been able to find that it is a side effect of dovonex.  I think I should stop using the clobetasol.  My question is does anybody know if it will do me any good to use only the dovonex cream, or should I just give it up?   Thank you.

If you are getting rashes just stop using it... who knows it can have even mess up more.. but speak to your doctor.

That is interesting. My doctor just prescribed Clobetasol as well but stated to only use once per day and only for 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. He said you have to be careful not to utilize too much per application and to allow for a rest period. Regardless, I'll follow up in a month or so.
