Re: Pigmentum - Has anyone had sucess with this?

(Xtrac)  For my daughter it took longer than 2 months to start seeing any results, and she went three times a week.  But I think alot had to do with the fact that they have to start out slow to see at what level they can start at without over doing it.  They dont want to burn you but they do want it pink, so it takes a while for them to figure out the level it needs to be.  So even if you dont get anything in 2 months dont give up because in our case it just took longer.  It also seemed like we got better results when they over did it, so we would say to them to "go for it".

Hey babybox,  Obviously the technician isnt trained very well.  We did the same thing years ago and we had a great techician but they took orders from the doc everytime, then we found one closer to home and went there and the same thing happened that happened to you and see got burned.  Its due to their lack of experience, I should have stuck to the one that was further away but it got real expensive.   With the xtrac our insurance company is paying for it, so thats a hugh blessing.  I will let yall know what happens on friday.   Just so you know sunless tanning lotions help for now.  Im going to order vitiligo cover and also safe tan.  Safe tan doesnt have a smell like others do.  You just have to try different ones to see which matches your color the best.  She is also using makeup along with it.  Babybox what are you doing to cover yours up?

    hello Raj,

cool. let's start Plan A together. haha..yeah, as much as i wanna look pretty again (i was before LOL), healing the inside is more important to me. plus, with Xtrac, i dunno if my V will appear again. ( i paused for a little while just now. haha, pigment actually "disppear" haha). Vitilax will arrive on 4th March. i'm so excited. gonna get a juicer today too. think i will start a diary during this half year journey and take a picture everyday. hopefully it's another successful story. my birthday is six mths away. will be the best birthday gift if i get any better! and i will have to thank all of you for the gift and support. haha..

thanks. think i will use the 2mths indicator too then, with the Xtrac. it's not a pleasant thing to do, unlike plan A. i always enjoy healthy living.

btw, people, please visit this page http://www.stop-anxiety-attack-symptoms.com/breathing.html
proper breathing doesn't cost a penny and it's the best thing you can do for ur health. \(^0^)/ yeah~

ur best friend in hk? wow, then yea, u should come over. can Ann make it too? lets have a V gathering. LOL

Re: Pigmentum - Has anyone had sucess with this?

Ann, my vitiligo isn't so severe that i can just use darker shade foundation/concealer. i use a stain called dy-o-derm sometimes too like i mentioned before. i think you might also wanna consider theatrical make up store where they sell highly pigmented concealer/foundation. my V is around my eyes so i can't use something too oily. sometimes i use eye shadow that's very close to my normal skin color on the white patches. its important to me how lasting the concealer is too. get one that mattifies without needing extra loose powder, will be more natural and convenient.

Re: Pigmentum - Has anyone had sucess with this?

Hi Babybox.  After reading Annes feedback its maybe wise to do Xtract for longer, as it may take a few sessions to get the right dosage.  Its opened my eyes to watch out for Dr's who don't really know how to use it.  Will be carefull if I use it.  Will let you know.  I will also keep picture of the patches monthly to record changes.  Take Care All

Re: Pigmentum - Has anyone had sucess with this?

PS.  If you are going to take B12 take "B12 methylcobalamin" not "B12  Cyanocobalamin".  B12 methylcobalamin is immediately useable by the body with more of it being stored for longer rather than passing it out.  B12 Cyanocobalamin needs to be transformed in to methylcobalamin by the Liver.  I also read the Liver doesn't convert much of it well, so in effect you could not be benefiting from all the B12 you are actually taking.  I've just ordered some.  I also checked the Recouleur Vitamins and they do not contain B12 methylcobalamin, they have B12 Cyanocobalamin .

I also read that in certain high doses B12 methylcobalamin are alomost as good as shots.  Looks like they are teh ones to take.  Thanks Anne for pointing me to the vitiligocover website, where I got the information to investigate.

I have decided to order all separate Vitamins.  Its a pain as it would be nice to get it all in one but having the right B12 is crucial as its the main component alongside Folic Acid.  Hope that helps.

babybox, if you want to start a new entry I'm happy with that. Don't mind either way.  I've been doing a log of research before I start the next 6months of trying something new.

raj. i just think that we're gathering lotsa good info here for other vitiligolians. :) since pigmentum is a scam, we should move on and make a new topic that suits ur good info and researches. and ofcos, my guinea pig trials. haha.. oh well, doesn't matter. i can't really think of a good topic. maybe until i start my journey.

Re: Pigmentum - Has anyone had sucess with this?

If yall start a new topic post it here so I'll know where to find you.  Raj, where do you order your vitamines from and which ones are you going to do.  I've been waiting to see the doctor before I order just incase he does the b12 shots.  He will probably have her to come back for blood test, if he doesnt then I will find another doctor.  Some of these doctors dont care and just say there is nothing they can do, but I will never give up.  I am so thankful that some color is coming back but its just so slow.  So now I'm going to add vitilax with the xtrac and see what happens.

Yeah read that.  You'll be a computer programmer soon :-) .  I am going to call and ask if I can be put on the list for the next trials.  Will let you know.  In the meantime I will use the Black pepper oil I have and see what happens in 6 weeks.  It cant do any harm.  No sunshine over here I'm afraid.  Its started snowing again... Climate change...errrr
