Vitiligo Support Forum

When I saw this site I tought, hey heres somewhere i can find confort, friends...maybe....But I have been reading some of the forum, and it just seems as if everyone is just trying 2 git ride of there blessing. I am 16 years old and I have had vitaligo my hole life. I have it on my face(lips and eyes), hands, feet, knees, and everywhere else you can thank of. I have had to deal with other kids making fun of me, and even the nickname "spot". I have never looked for a treatment. I was just wondering are ya'll okay? some of you have tooken treatment after treatmean and even gone threw pain for it. I just dont understand hasn't this given you any character? why do you want to get ride of it? well anyways I guess what ever floats your bout. please write me back with your answers or comments.

Welcome to the forums, well everyone is trying to cope with their problems in different manners. We all understand the social pain and social suffering which majority of us would have experienced, It is amazing that you have such a positive attitude at this young age to deal with this problem.

I hope I had the same positive nature while I was 16 years old and was trying to get to the grips of my situation.

thanks for being so brave. I am 45 years old female. have been with my friend vitiligo since the age of six. still it controls my life. i dont like to go outside anymore.don't get me wrong i will be it's a very hard task for me. i have three sons. they are older now and they want to do family things i can't.I know God has a plan for me i am a good person.so i will just wait on him.
